Julie has over twenty five years of experience in lettings and management and has owned and run Devon Rose with her husband Nick since 2007. Julie began her property career in Plymouth working for smaller independent companies before moving to London to hold senior positions in major London property firms, the last of which was running a prestigious 1,500 unit national portfolio for one of the UK’s leading companies. Julie is a fellow of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) and has a Certificate in Residential Lettings Management so you’ll be hard pressed to find anyone in Devon who knows more about the property industry! Passionate, fair-minded and thoroughly professional Julie loves her work and looks forward to meeting you - landlord or tenant.
In her spare time Julie is never more than a few feet away from her Kindle and if she’s not reading she’s most likely in the kitchen baking with her granddaughter.
Nick has worked in lettings and management since he and Julie bought Devon Rose in 2007, after he left the Royal Navy. Nick joined the navy as a teenager and served over thirty years of service, leaving as a Lieutenant Commander. He visited every continent in the world and was proud to have served in many hot spots including the Falklands, Adriatic and Gulf Wars. He has added to the many transferable skills and abilities from his time in the forces by becoming a Member of ARLA and qualified Energy Assessor.
Away from work Nick is a keen runner, completing many marathons over the years and also a fervent supporter of the Open University after having achieved an Honours Degree in Humanities in 2012.
Dominic spent a decade in residential block management in London before joining his parents in the family business in 2012. He is a graduate of Economics from the University of Wales, Swansea, and an Associate of the Institute of Residential Property Managers. He is a Director of the company and although does not work full time at Devon Rose retains responsibility for overseeing the company accounts.
Similar to his wife Lorna, Dominic is also a very serious, committed and competitive marathon runner. He also lives and breathes hockey and when he isn’t playing he is usually coaching or helping the committee.
Lorna started her career in lettings and management when she joined Devon Rose with her husband Dominic in 2012. She draws a wide range of skills from her varied employment history having previously worked as a Dispatch & Communications Officer for the Police, as a Secretary at a top London Accountancy firm and as a childminder. Lorna is a graduate of the University of Bath with a Degree in Sport & Exercise Science and is currently training to become a Fellow of ARLA, having qualified MARLA (Member) in 2016.
In her spare time Lorna is a serious marathon runner with extremely competitive times held in a range of distances including 100km!
Elaine has worked for Devon Rose since 2004 and this long and dedicated employment with the company has cultivated a wealth of knowledge and experience of the local area and the properties we manage.
In her spare time Elaine is diligently studying for her MARLA exams, she also loves to travel, go for country walks, gardening and expresses a great fondness for the company dog Scrappy!
Vicky transferred over from Pearson Ranger after its acquisition by Devon Rose in December 2018. With over 10 years experience in the industry she brings a wealth of valuable property related expertise and vital knowledge of the Pearson Ranger account. In her spare time Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and her pet Jack Russell dog Peppa.
Karen joined Devon Rose staff with the acquision of Pearson Ranger in December 2018. Bringing with her a substantial amount of experience within the property industry, locally born Karen, provides much needed advice. She is a keen runner, theatre goer and lawn bowls enthusiast.
Scrappy has been a trusted and loyal member of Devon Rose staff for 5 years now. Mainly employed for security duties and providing dog walking for the local lonely hearts and dog lovers. Scrappy loves a biscuit and the occasional cuddle from all visitors!
